About Me
Helloooo... I'm Rebecca and I'm a first year History of Art student. Originally from Belfast but I live in Wood Court, a relatively small but feisty part of the 'fax. I'm absolutely loving life down in Halifax, it really is the most lively and spirited college! Whilst we may be 5 minutes from campus, we're the ones who know how to have the best time!
Marilou and I first got involved helping our predecessors James and Jon with RAG week in Spring Term. Once we realised how much fun RAG was, and how it really summed up the college spirit, we knew we had to do it! 'Raising and Giving' is a massive part of bringing the college together, and in the best of contexts. Throughout the year, we orchestrate various events (both in Halifax and as part of YUSU RAG) to make the most money for charities and have the best time while doing it! The highlights would have to be RAG week in Spring Term and Woodstock festival in Summer Term but there really are loads of events every term! This year, we need to stay on top, after raising mammoth amounts (more than any other college) during RAG week, not to mention our notable turnout at the annual RAG parade and winning Mr and Mrs York 2010!
