About Me
Hiya, my name's Jon-Paul Ward and I am the Press and Publicity officer. I'm from middlesbrough (North East England) and I'm a second year (going into third year) studying Chemistry. I was the 09/10 college pool captain and I also play college football. I encourage all freshers to go to as many sport trials as possible; it's a great way to meet new people and carry on old/existing hobbies or interests.
As Press and Publicity Officer the majority of my job is to publicize Halifax College events to everybody in Halifax by using various publicity methods, from posters to Facebook events. As well as publicity I interact with the university newspapers (Nouse, Vision and The Yorker) i.e. making statements to control the spread of incorrect information and rumours.
Halifax College events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends - especially early on in your university life. We are open to new ideas because the events are for you. Welcome to Halifax College and hopefully see you very soon!
