Beth, Ents meeting - short, not much happening Hannah, EWD - 6.30 meeting,
invitations handed out Tomasz, ISA - plan for next term, world film
festival, Halifax, Saturday wk.5, South American theme. Contacting Latin
American Soc for ideas. Would like to involve RAG, posters provided by the
college. Lydia, Fran - Crime week next term. Cycle crime, checking bikes
and security. Get people involved. Driving awareness week. Drink and drug
driving. Checking all cars for MOT and Insurance. Washing cars event for
RAG next term. VC and Jane Grenville coming for lunch next term. 23rd
April, Friday Wk.0. Welcome event for nursing students moving into Halifax
next term. Litter picking next term for houses on the Mud path side of
Halifax. Fill out student survey if possible - get as many people as
possible to fill it in. Sandwich bar in JJs. Meeting with commercial
services tomorrow to get pizza bar renovated into this. Petition around
Halifax to see how many people would like to use it.

Bar Crawl event - good event, not as much attendance as could have been.
Free bus provided, but not used enough, so bus hire not going to happen
again Casino night - well attended, good idea. Perhaps do this again? Poker
night or casino night on a regular basis? Mark - maybe once a term and do a
poker night to avoid cliché. Variety, or focus on poker?

Has Max spoken to Tru/BPM about foam party? Get him to do this. Wk. 4 event
- pub golf event. Speak to all bars so they are aware of event happening.
Maybe get decorations in McQs or just a DJ? Grace to check university DJ
list for this.

Only a couple of paintballing tickets sold. £20 for coach, equipment hire
etc. £38 for all this plus 500 paintballs - but this is quite expensive. 2
weeks beforehand to cancel the event officially. Vote: keep slot for
paintballing open: 0
Cancel event: 18

Daveds - St Lawrence vs Wood competition - talent contest court v court.
Make a night of it afterwards and go out to town. Only problem is that
Halifax's Got Talent will be held in wk.8/9. People might not turn up.
Easier to hold all-college events. Having BOTB or DJing competition. Later
hold full talent contest. Grace: Make it a Halifax event and invite the
whole university? Having the event in Fibbers. The winning DJ could be
resident DJ for Halifax. Perhaps DJ the McQ's event. Taking away the point
of Halifax's Got Talent and Woodstock. Join the two events together? Work
with RAG reps to get a big event going. Not worth having two mild events
instead of one big one. Perhaps open mic night? Perhaps have it in town?
Too much effort to go to town. Not worth having it in town. Take advantage
of club style lighting before it's all taken down and try to make a real
stage with spotlights etc. People would want to just casually come down.
Make it a pre-lash event. Perhaps combine it with a BBQ when the weather is
better.

YSTV are making a series of short videos for an introduction of York. They
could potentially come to Halifax to film footage for a 3min film.

Perhaps revamp website - but people need to put their information up and
contribute more to it.

Croydon and Hare will be stepping down as RAG reps from Halifax College
JCR. Rebecca Irwin and Mary-Lou will potentially be running for it.

Sky Sports Subscription latest - Graeme isn't here so he can't tell us.
However, funds can be raised from Graduates, can perhaps ask for money from
Vice Chancellor. Make a petition to prove how much we use it.
