RAG is the Raising and Giving charity side of the student’s union. Its aim is to raise as much money as possible by whatever means possible and to promote its many beneficiaries throughout the year.

We are James and Jon, second years from Halifax College. We are this years Halifax RAG reps and have spent the last two terms trying to boost Halifax’s RAG totals.

With each college competing against each other to raise the most money Halifax pulled out all the stops last year in the hippy themed parade through York city centre in a bid to raise the college RAG totals.

Halifax College didn’t know what had hit it last term when 70 tie-dye clad hippies rampaged through the courts before heading into town for an afternoon of money collecting and RAG love!

We hope that we can use some of the excitement and enthusiasm towards the RAG Parade for our event in week 7 this term – Halifax has got talent!

We are looking for anyone with a talent or entertaining act to come and showcase it to the college with the prospect of winning a place to perform and compete at Woodstock later this term.
Anyone is welcome – the whacky, the absurd, just about anything to make for a night to rival last years “IRRARSISTABOYZ”
